01At a glance

Rule
Own your library — dumps of discs you own
Coverage
400+ titles recognized
Layout
One folder per title; paths must stay stable
Check
Title appears with art and a rating

02Procedure

Precondition: firmware installed and system software boots to idle.

  1. Arrange dumps as one folder per title on a fast drive. Keep paths short, ASCII-only, and stable — the indexer records paths, not copies.
  2. In Meridian choose Library → Add Folder and select the parent folder. Index one Stable title first, e.g. Astro Bot.
  3. Confirm the title appears with art and a rating chip. Then add the rest of the shelf in small batches so a bad dump is easy to isolate.

03Fixes

  • No art or unknown title: the dump layout is wrong. Re-dump from your owned disc; do not rename inner files.
  • Title appears but will not boot: re-check firmware in Install firmware — indexing does not verify bootability.
  • Indexer stalls: move the cache folder off cloud-synced paths and retry. Install path rules are in Windows installer.

Meridian is free from Download Meridian; it never supplies game data. Own your library.

04Questions

Q.01Where do I get games for Meridian?

From your own shelf. Dump discs you already own; Meridian ships with no games and recognizes 400+ titles.

Q.02Why did one title fail to index?

Bad dump layout or an unstable path. Fix that folder alone rather than re-adding everything.

Q.03Can I move folders after indexing?

Yes, but re-point the Library path afterward. Broken paths show as missing until re-linked.
